The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. Some of them have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It is smaller than other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.
It's extremely fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, such as books and toys that have been damaged.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up and performs well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum to mop it is important to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.
The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home, detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This results in a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly quick.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach places. They also come with a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.
Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it will make, which will determine how quickly the device can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

The device comes with a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It is important to remember that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every three months.
The robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. This includes an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning session. automated vacuum cleaner comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or just want to have a clean home without spending much time doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise floorplan which it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to protect specific areas of your home from being cleaned with a mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up pet hair. It was able to capture a large amount of hair that shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that indicated when it was about to start or finished its work.
The app was too basic and you had to change the modules every time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, however it comes with some distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.
The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off the child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognising objects.
This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it gets caught in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert in its app.
Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a major change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
